Located 99 km from Trabzon and 19 km from Caykara district, at an altitude of 1090 m above sea level, Uzungol surpasses the beauty of the Alps with its steep slopes and magnificent forest. The lake, located in the middle of the valley and formed by the rocks falling from the slopes blocking the Haldizen Stream, is known as “Uzungol” and the same name was given to the surrounding area. Especially the old wooden houses of the nearby “Serah” village, built in a style suitable for the region, complement the beauty of nature.

In terms of wildlife, the mountains around Uzungol are home to various animal species such as bears, wolves, wild goats, foxes and Caucasian mountain roosters.

A type of black tea is produced in Turkey and grows on the Eastern Black Sea coast. This type of tea is popularly called Turkish tea. It is brewed with powdered roasted black tea and served in unique small glasses known as “ince belli” which translates to “small waist”. In this method, tea is made using a teapot or samovar consisting of two parts. Highlights:

Tour Itinerary: TRABZON – Surmene Knife Sections – Tea Factory – Turkish Delight Shop – Uzungol Observation Terrace – Kiremitli Bridge. Uzungol day tour starts every day at 10:00 by meeting at our office with our vehicle. After picking up the guests, our first stop is the world-famous Surmene Knife Sections where you can take a look at high-quality knives that you can use for many years. Our next stop is the tea factory which has an important part in the Blacksea culture. You can drink Turkish tea and learn about the journey of the tea. Guests can also buy Turkish tea if they like. Before reaching Uzungol, we stop by a shop that sells delicacies such as Turkish delight, honey, and dessert. Afterward, we set off for Uzungol. In order to watch the view, we go up the Uzungol Observation Terrace. After witnessing the breathtaking view, you can enjoy a free time where you can have lunch and take a stroll around Uzungol. Once the free time is over, everyone gathers at the meeting point that was decided beforehand. On the way back to Trabzon, we take a break for you to take photos of the historic Kiremitli Bridge.
