Our journey begins with a visit to the enchanting ancestral village of Birkat Al Mawz nestled at the base of the verdant Jebel Akhdar. Then, we’ll head to the heart of Nizwa to glimpse its impressive Fort and iconic circular cannon Tower, strolling through the traditional Nizwa Souq. Enjoy a local restaurant lunch before we continue to the remarkable Jabreen Fort, a 17th-century masterpiece known for its exquisite plasterwork, intricately carved doors, and painted wooden ceiling beams. Following our visit to Jabreen Castle, we’ll embark on a scenic drive toward Jebel Shams, one of Oman’s renowned mountains. En route, we’ll pass through Bahla, one of Oman’s oldest small towns, featuring its own fort. Our journey concludes in Nizwa’s downtown, and we’ll smoothly return to Muscat after an enriching day.
